We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Tsuyoshi Tanaka, DDS, MSD, to our practice as our new associate periodontist. Dr. Tanaka brings a rich background of clinical expertise and a deep passion for patient care. With over five years of academic and clinical experience, he earned recognition for his outstanding contributions in the classroom and clinic.
Dr. Tanaka’s commitment to education and patient care is evidenced by his recent accolade, the Best Clinical Faculty award, which highlights his dedication to excellence in the field. His exceptional communication skills and patient-centered approach ensure that each treatment plan is personalized, fostering optimal outcomes and a positive patient experience.
Dr. Tanaka holds a dental degree from Tokyo Medical and Dental University and advanced certificates in Periodontics and General Dentistry from Indiana University and Boston University, respectively. He has also completed specialized training in implantology and IV sedation, further enhancing his ability to provide comprehensive periodontal care.
As we welcome Dr. Tanaka, we are confident that his addition will not only strengthen our practice but also expand the range of services we offer. Background and Education
Dr. Tsuyoshi Tanaka, DDS, MSD, is a highly accomplished periodontist with a robust educational and professional background. He earned his dental degree from the prestigious Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan in 2010. Driven by a desire to further his expertise, Dr. Tanaka moved to the United States, where he attended Indiana University School of Dentistry. There, he earned a certificate in periodontology in 2016 and served as chief resident, showcasing his leadership and clinical skills.
Continuing his advanced education, Dr. Tanaka completed a program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2017. He recently completed an implant fellowship at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, further refining his skills in this specialized area.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Tanaka has served as a clinical assistant professor and program director for periodontology at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where he contributed to the DMD curriculum and the periodontology graduate program. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and holds certification in intravenous sedation, ensuring his patients receive the highest standard of care.
